12 yr old MUA, IMPRESSIVE!!!!

I somehow stumbled onto this video and I'm glad I did!! I feel everyone, including myself, complain most of the time...  We don't stop and realize how much we have, when others with dreams and aspirations are fighting a way bigger war than we are!!  We all really need to wake up and realize that we can too accomplish so much more rather than settle!!!

Keep Fighting, Keep Dreaming

Don't know if its just me, but for the past two weeks, many people including myself have been busy questioning life...  Where I'm going with my career as an artist.  No career is easy, but some careers are more secure than others.  In my case, make-up artistry is one of those careers where competition is high, and the beauty industry is ran by top Agencies...  Booking a meeting with an agency is hard, due to the overwhelming number of artists.  Sometimes it gets hard and it all starts to take a toll on your body and mind...  Being that I'm overly sensitive, I kind of lost my way for a bit...  I stopped answering phone calls and texts.... FB and Twitter updates happen every once in a while....  Last Sunday, I was booked for a shoot with my all time favorite Isabella Grosso.  Being that she is a close friend, I let her know how I was feeling, this beautiful person filled me with so much positivity that I am now 100% recovered!!  I have been blessed with so many amazing opportunities, have gotten the chance to work with talented individuals, and still have loyal clients who continue calling me back!  Following your dreams is hard, but I wouldn't trade the hardships of it for anything else!  Eventually, all hard work and sacrifice is compensated, but patience and faith are key!Quitting has never been an option and it will remain the same!! To all of you who are going for your dreams, remember to wake up with a positive outlook each day and to accept the good with the bad!!

Make-up School or Not...?

As an artist, you frequently find yourself learning new ways to improve your craft.  I, many times get asked about 4what make-up schools would I recommend, but I find it hard to answer that question due to that I didn't attend Make-up School myself.  However, maybe at an early stage I wished I would have gone to make-up school.  Scholl teaches you many fundamental things that will lead you to be a better artist.  Always remember that schools will always teach you a certain way of make-up artistry, but with time, one will develop their own techniques and ways of artistry.  For those of you who are thinking about make-up school, looks at if you already know how to apply make-up, if you do then maybe find some books or some tutorials on the different tyopes of make-up,(tv, print, stage, etc.). 
At this moment I am looking into SFX makeup schools to further my career in the SFX field.

IMATS 2012

It's that time of the year again!! From Lancomes new Rouge Spring Collection to the fresh new looks on the catwalk, I have taken my place as the eyes into the world of the Professional Make-up Artist.  I will keep you updated on up and coming products and trends to the latest breaking news in the Make-up fiield.  Make-up is just like any other thing, it changes constantly and with the high demands of new and different looks, make-up artist all around the world are working hard hoping to create next seasons fresh new make-up look.

A little backrground on me.... I was introduced to make-up back in 2006.  After High School, I wanted to persue a career in the film industry, but unfortunately those type of courses werent offered nowhere near my area...  Hoping to keep my flame alive, I went to the next best thing, acting... I tooks a theater acting class along with a Theater Makeup Course (which teaches basics of theater makeup and light prostethics).  I assited on a couple of college plays, but my heart was still searching for my true passion...  Hoping to further my career, I took a non payed position as a wardrode stylist for a short film, but faith had different plans for me... The productions make-up artist dropped out of the production last minute and I took control of the make-up department.  Since them, I've been blessed with many opportunities.
